Project Management Training

CMD Corporation provides Project Management training for the beginner as well as the advanced project manager. These Project Management foundation courses help organizations train their staff in basic Project Management skills. Even though these courses are not product specific, many examples and exercises are based on using Microsoft Project. There is a heavy focus on the nine knowledge areas of PMI and discussions are centered around understanding the importance of and accelerated techniques for completing many major Project Management deliverables: Business Case, Creation of a Project Plan, Risk Management, Project Scope and Charter, Communications Plan.

Project Management Fundamentals: Lecture and Workshops 2 Days

New to Project Management?  Many Technical Leaders have risen to the ranks of Project Lead or Project Manager with little or no training on fundamentals of Project Management.  This course covers the basic principles of Project Management including the nine knowledge areas of PMI’s PMBOK. Students learn the basics of creating a project plan and schedule, assigning resources and monitoring progress. WBS and task dependencies are discussed and practiced.

Audience: Project Managers, Methodologists, Team Leaders, PMO and SEPG staff

Project Lifecycle Training

Project Management Lifecycle Training: Lecture and Workshops 2 Days

Not sure how to build project plans that are PMI compliant?  CMD's Project Lifecycle training will take you through building a template for project plans that support the nine knowledge areas of PMI and the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK). This course covers the concepts and basic principles included in the Synergy/Framework Project Management Methodology. The phases, tasks, roles and responsibilities and major deliverables are discussed. These are mapped to the requirements of PMI's PMBOK so that students get a clear understanding of how they can tailor PM lifecycles to meet their organization's culture and requirement.
